The “Say Something” hit makers released a video for their song “Already Home” using a split screen to capture a long distance relationship.

The video stars ’s Darren Criss and Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr, in a long distance relationship on either coast of the United States. The split screen shows each going through their routines, and craftly blends them together; Criss on one side will be out at the beach with a cooler while on the other side Szohr is sitting on grass having a picnic. The examples are numerous as they share their life, eating across from one another, talking, watching TV, until a fight between the two has them both leaving their respective rooms. Inspired to make it work, each grab plane tickets to the other’s city, but with their plane’s crossing, what will happen? A heartfelt and romantically inspired ending is delivered pretty flawlessly.

Ian Axel starts the song off on piano, singing heartfelt lyrics Don’t you know that I spend all my nights/counting backwards the days til I’m home. Chad Vaccarino takes over as the rest of the instruments come in, and really packs a vocal punch, delivering an emotional vocal. At the end the two singers blend perfectly singing the chorus.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the involvement with Darren Criss served as a full-circle moment for the New York duo after the Glee character Blaine sang A Great Big World’s “This Is the New Year” last season.

“Already Home” is A Great Big World’s fifth single off of their Epic Records debut Is There Anybody Out There.
