Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry have gone back into the studio to record "Dream On" in honor of those have been impacted by the Boston Marathon bombings.

The rock 'n' roll legends were joined by the Southern California Children's Chorus in this remastering of their hit single, AP reported.

Aerosmith also performed "Dream On" during the benefit concert that was put on for victims of the Boston Marathon back in May. The song has already been recored in the studio, Boston.com added.

The remastered classic will be used during the upcoming ESPN special titled Dream On: Stories from Boston's Strongest. The special will first air on ABC this Saturday.

Along with lending their talents to honor those of Boston, Aerosmith is also planning on going on tour with Slash this summer. The group made their announcement early this week during a performance at the Whisky a Go Go, Rolling Stone added.

Three people died during the bombings and over 260 people were injured by the two bombs that went off near the end of the 2013 marathon.
