Authorities are investigating why a package containing Durex condoms was sent to an 8-year-old girl.

According to the New York Daily News, the child’s mother Christine Angelides, said that at first she thought the Amazon delivery to her daughter was a mistake. However, after contacting the company, a representative told her that it was not an error. Now cops are trying to figure out who the sender was and why they sent condoms to the young girl.

CBS 2 reported that the package was delivered to the family’s Staten Island home on Tuesday and was addressed to 8-year-old Gianna.

“There was no explanation behind it,” Christine Angelides said. “Until I get answers, I don’t know what to make of it.”

Amazon was apologetic, but because of the company’s customer privacy policy it could not reveal who the sender was or any of their billing information.

Angelides has filed a harassment complaint on her daughter’s behalf and computer crimes officers may issue a subpoena to Amazon in an effort to find out who sent the parcel.
