Nick Carter from The Backstreet Boys and Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block have made a big announcement on Wednesday, letting fans know they’re joining forces to create the duo Nick & Knight. They will both release an album and tour together under that name.
Carter and Knight made the announcement on ABC’s Good Morning America, revealing the dates and locations of their 39-city tour, which kicks off in Nashville, Tennessee on Sept. 15. The tour will conclude in Calgary on Nov. 22.
"We're almost pretty much done with the album. It's a bunch of our pop, rock, R&B and urban. It's all mixed together to create Nick & Knight,” Carter said on GMA.
The duo said their respective boy bands have been supportive of this venture. In 2010, their two groups joined forces tour together, creating the supergroup NKOTBSB.
In 2011, Carter told TheCelebrityCafe.com about teaming with NKOTB, “New Kids on the Block had originally asked us to do a guest appearance on their reunion tour in New York City, and it just sort of worked. “
