It seems teens are always looking for a new way to get high, but who would have thought that the next high for teenagers would be slathering a little Burt’s Bees lip balm on their eyelids?
Social media was flooded with what kids are calling “beezin’” on Friday, according to New York Daily News. It is taking a place in the long list of activities teens are taking part in, like huffing glue and cinnamon.
"It's the peppermint oil that's causing the burning sensation and I suppose some people think that is kind of funny," Dr. Brett Cauthen.
So how would Burt’s Bees get you high? Some users have said that they experienced a high or drunk feeling, according to Science World Report. Others have reported that they are “beezin” to stay awake.
Some people think that this could simply be a trend-rumor, however, many are wondering if this is true, how safe is it?
A representative for Burt’s Bees would not confirm whether the trend was true or not, but urged consumers to use as the manufacturer intended (on their lips).
