A new bride reportedly fatally shot and killed her niece after an argument during her wedding party at a Pennsylvania bar on Thursday.
According to The Associated Press, George-Harvan and her husband, Jeremy Harvan, were celebrating their wedding with Francis at Jimmy K’s bar in New Brighton. At approximately 10 p.m., the three got into an argument in the parking lot over who was going to drive home.
Police report that George-Harvan allegedly took out her husband’s gun from the console in their truck and shot Francis in the stomach.
Francis was flown to a local hospital and was reported dead Friday morning, reports The NY Daily News.
According to UPI, Deana Chenoweth, a friend of Francis’, spoke out about the single mother’s relationship to her son, Kody.
“He was her whole world. She always talked about him,” she said.
George-Harvan is currently in county jail, being held without bond. She faces charges of homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
