A New York man is suing Equifax, a credit reporting agency, for claiming he doesn’t have any financial history.

According to The New York Post God Gazarov, 26, is a Brooklyn businessman who owns a jewelry shop. For years, he has worked hard to establish an excellent credit rating, which two major companies, TransUnion and Experian, recognize.

However, Equifax does recognize his credit rating, which exceeds 720, or Gazarov himself because their system does not recognize his first name, God.

Gazarov, who is of Russian descent and named for his grandfather, has stated that Equifax refuses to fix the problem within their system and recommended he make changes of his own. He has stated that an Equifax customer service agent suggested he change his name so that he may be accepted with their system.

According to UPI, Gazarov has grown tired of the continued back and forth with Equifax, which has lasted for two years, and filed a federal lawsuit. He claims that the company’s refusal to acknowledge his name prevented him from purchasing an Infinity car in 2013.

“It’s extremely frustrating. I worked hard to get good credit to look good to lenders and this happens,” Garazov told the New York Post.

Equifax has not responded to Garazov’s claims.
