Michael Egan, the man who has sued X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer of sexual abuse, has said that he told the Los Angeles Police Department about being sodomized at Hollywood parties, but nothing happened.

Egan claims that Singer lured him to an Encino, Calif. mansion when he was 17 for a party known for “sexual contact between adult males and the many teenage boys who were present for the parties.” The suit alleges that Egan was drugged and forced to drink alcohol in exchange for a promised part in the first X-Men movie.

Later on Thursday, Egan and his attorney, Jeff Herman, held a press conference, where Egan gave more details about his claims.

According to TMZ, Egan claims that he and other young men were frequently at these parties and that Signer was not the only one who abused them. He claimed that back in 2000, he and his mother went to the police and he was interviewed, but they had no explanation for why the case didn't go further at the time. Egan also filed a lawsuit against two men in 2000, but did not name Singer at the time. Herman could not explain why his client didn’t sue Singer at the time.

“I am a survivor of chemical and sexual abuse,” Egan said at the conference at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel, adds TheWrap. Egan, now 31, says the alleged abuse began when he was 15.

Herman said that he was investigating these claims for six months and determined that “Hollywood's got a problem,” adding, “I have heard from many, many people who allege as children, they were abused.”

Singer is represented by Marty Singer, who called the lawsuit “absurd and defamatory.”

During the press conference, Herman said that the mansion where the alleged abuse took place was once owned by Suge Knight and was sold to Marc Collins-Rector, who Herman said has since left the U.S.
