At least 10 have been killed in a California college tour when three buses were hit head-on by a FedEx truck.

CNN reports that the buses, which were headed to Humboldt State University, carried dozens of low-income teens who were looking at various colleges. Over 30 were injured in the fiery crash.

Many were taken to local hospitals for their injuries. Police are currently trying to get all of the bodies identified but, due to the fire, it is not an easy task.

Witnesses to the crash told police that, before hitting the buses, the FedEx truck also sideswiped another car. FedEx spokeswoman Bonnie Kourvelas stated that the company will fully cooperate with authorities to help determine what happened.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the tragic accident on the I-5 in California,” Kourvelas said.

According to the New York Times, many of those on the bus were the first in their family that were heading to college.
