A Canadian couple has plead not guilty and will stand trial for allegedly engaging in a sex act aboard an Air Canada flight.

According to the Chronicle Herald, lawyers for Jason George and Alicia Lander entered not guilty pleas Tuesday in Dartmouth provincial court on behalf of the pair, who were not present.

The couple has been charged with committing an indecent act while on a flight from Toronto to Halifax last January.

The New York Daily News noted that specifics about the exact act the two were engaged in has not been revealed, but officials did say that it occurred while the duo was still in their seats and the plane was in the air. A Canadian Mounted Police spokesman added that it was not full intercourse.

Authorities have not said whether or not the couple was in a relationship or had just met prior to the flight taking off.

The judge for this case has set a January 21 trial date.
