Capital Cities among groups making a statement in fashion and music at Coachella

As the first weekend of The Coachella Festival wraps, fans are quick to appreciate the music and style of the 2014 festival. Coachella brings together music and art, and is held in Indio, California.

Quick to make a fashion statement, the band, The Capital Cities wore Mr Turk on stage, according to Woman’s Wear Daily.

The Capital Cities is an indie band from Los Angeles, CA. Their members include Ryan Merchant and Sebu Simonian. The Capital Cities made a splash in the music scene with their song, “Safe and Sound.” The video has over 63 million views on You Tube, according to Billboard. Their album, In a Tidal Wave of Mystery was released on 2013. The band is play 26 dates in Katy Perry’s arena tour. The tour is set to star on June 22.

Other bands that played this past weekend include Outkast, stirring fans with a 90 minute set. This year’s Coachella festival will also host the Pixies, The Replacements, Beck, Nas, Muse, and AFI.
