Sad news for fans of Chance The Rapper who has announced that he has canceled his shows through the end of April.
The rapper is working on recovering from an illness that caused him to miss the second weekend of The Coachella Festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The management team for the rapper said that his concert appearances are canceled through April 27.
It was thought that the illness was caused by a combination of flu virus and tonsillitis. Chance the Rapper will be seeing a specialist this week. The rapper, whose real name is Chancelor Bennett, tweeted last Friday that he wasn’t feeling well after his show in Las Vegas.
According to RollingStone, his manager said in the statement, "Upon rising on Sunday morning, Chance was running a 104 degree fever and could not speak due to the inflammation of his throat. He was rushed to Hollywood Presbyterian hospital where he was put on an IV drip and medicines were introduced to help control his body temperature and pain caused by his illness.”
Fans will have to wait and see, but for now, the rapper and his management team has thanked fans for their prayers and concern.
