X-Men: Days of Future Past is about to be released in theaters on May 23rd but producers and Fox is looking ahead to future movies, such as X-Men: Apocalypse. Casting rumors have already been surfacing regarding Apocalypse and Channing Tatum recently explained that he has been talking with X-Men producers about the role of Gambit.
In a recent interview with MTV, Tatum announced that he has been talking with X-producer Lauren Shuler Donner about he would fit into the role of Gambit, which was first brought to live in Wolverine: Origins but was not well received by critics or fans.
Entertainment Weekly added that in a recent interview with Donner about Days of Future Past she explained the thought process behind wanting Tatum to play the role of Gambit.
“I did that interview last year, and Channing gave one like a couple of years before last year, and then all of a sudden, boom, it surfaced. There’s a want to see … I have it in my head.”
