A CIA official has died in a suicide after he jumped from a building in Northern Virginia.
A spokesman for the CIA said that, “We can confirm that there was an individual fatally injured at a facility where agency work is done. He was rushed to a local area hospital where he subsequently died. Due to privacy reasons and out of respect for the family, we are not releasing additional information at this time,” according to Washington Free Beacon.
According to the Daily Mail, the CIA website tells future employees that they will be working under high stress conditions, and that it uses multiple secret locations to conduct business.
The CIA has been under speculation about torture methods, and if reports about these methods will be released. After Obama was elected to the office for his first term, he outlawed torture tactics including water boarding, which is when a cloth is put over a captives face, and water is poured over it. It has the effect of drowning, in which the captive can experience dry drowning, pain, psychological damage, and brown bones if he or she would struggle against the restraints.
