The Walt Disney Company is not going to take long basking in the success of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, not with another tentpole about to hit theaters. Maleficent, which stars Angelina Jolie as the iconic villain from Sleeping Beauty, is about to open and the Disney marketing machine is already in high gear.

The Disney Parks on both coasts - Walt Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland in Anaheim - will host sneak peeks for the film. The company announced that Disney World’s ABC Sound Studio at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have RealD 3D screenings of an extended trailer beginning Friday.

Screenings will also take place at the Disney California Adventure park in Anaheim.

Also this week, Disney released a featurette about the film, featuring clips of Jolie, Elle Fanning and director Robert Stromberg talking about the story and the characters. The clip also includes scenes from the original 1959 animated classic that it takes inspiration from.

Maleficent opens in the U.S. on May 30. It is the first film for Stromberg, who won Oscars for his art direction on Avatar and Alice in Wonderland. Fanning co-stars as Princess Aurora and the plot focuses on how Maleficent turned evil.
