Executive producers Beinoff and Weiss are always looking for plot turns on the series when swords and fire-breathing dragons are standard fare. The television series works on a large canvas.
Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke portrays Khaleesi on the show. The actress was recently featured on the cover of the Los Angeles Times’ Hero Complex magazine. She took a moment to discuss the growth of character on the show, and the difficulties of shooting the series. According to Fan Sided, she said, “The challenges are namely the physical aspects of being under the baking sun in a desert in Morocco with a wig on feeling very hot. But there’s just so much that’s wonderful about getting to play her.”
Emilia Clarke has previously appeared in Futurama and Spike Island.
