Eminem wanted to slam other rappers but decided to keep his mouth shut, he recently said in an interview.

In a new radio interview with Los Angeles’ Power 106, the Real Slim Shady rapper said the insecurities he felt between the releases of his two albums, Relapse and Encore made him want to attack other hip-hop stars, including Kanye West, Lil' Wayne and Drake.

Eminem said during this time frame, he was facing drug problems and was upset with himself for not keeping up with other stars who were climbing the charts. West released three albums, Late Registration, Graduation, and 808s & Heartbreak.

Lil Wayne also released two albums, Tha Carter II and Tha Carter III.

“For that time period when I was away, I was watching what was going on in the game – anything that was hot at that moment, anybody that was really killing s---t. I felt so bad about myself and the music that I was creating, I felt I was starting to turn into a hater,” he said.

“Singling Kanye and Wayne out at that time period, they were the ones killing it most to me and it hurt. I’d pop a CD in and be like, “F---k, man, I’m not doing this no more.”

Eminem told the station that he considered “dissing everyone” in a song but after thinking it over, he says it would have resulted in “career suicide.”

Even though he didn’t release the song, Eminem has been doing well with his latest album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, and with Spike Lee directing his latest music video for “Headlights.”
