Emma Stone was on The Tonight Show last night to talk with Jimmy Fallon about the release of her newest hit film, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The two decided to have a Lip Synch Battle, and Stone put Fallon to shame.
Fallon offered Stone this interesting challenge where the two each picked two songs to lip-synch to on stage, and nobody was expecting Stone to be so damn good at it. Fallon started the contest off on a good note with a very energetic, and hysterical, performance of Iggy Azalea’s song “Fancy.” Little did he know, he’d have to really step his game up.
Stone seemed intimidated and surprised by Fallon’s song choice, but she crushed him with Blue Traveler’s rapid-fire song, “Hook.” Fallon couldn’t believe what he was seeing, saying he forgot that song even existed. Stone hit every lyric perfectly, easily won the first round of the battle.
Fallon got back on stage to lip-synch “Mr. Roboto,” with a performance that made it seem like he tied the battle and easily won the second round, but Stone came back on stage with an even more shocking song than the first, DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win.” And she sure did. Not only was the chorus performed perfectly, but she might as well have been Ludacris on stage performing his verse. She was flawless.
Fallon has been challenging celebrities to lip-synch battles for a long time now, according to PEOPLE, but it’s going to be hard to top this one. Stone really came prepared. Fallon called it, “the best one that’s ever been done on the show ever.”
