Fading Gigolo, the first film to feature Woody Allen since Ronan Farrow revived the sex abuse allegations against him, scored the second-best limited opening of 2014. The film actually starts John Turturro, who also wrote and directed the film.

The film scored $198,399, despite opening in just five theaters this weekend, notes TheWrap. This averages out to $39,680 per theater, the second-best average of the year.

Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel had the best limited opening of the year, smashing the all-time record. It grossed $800,000 from four theaters, averaging $200,000 per theater.

Fading Gigolo stars Allen as Turturro’s pimp, as both are in need of cash. The film is the first time in over a decade that Allen has appeared in a film that he didn’t direct and the first time he’s been on screen at all since his 2012 film, To Rome With Love.

Allen’s most recent film was Blue Jasmine, which earned Cate Blanchett an Oscar and him another nomination for Best Original Screenplay. He most recently won that award for 2011’s Midnight in Paris. His next film is Magic in the Moonlight with Emma Stone.

Fading Gigolo also features Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara.
