Former Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner will appear with Ben Bernanke, the former chairman of the Federal Reserve, and Geithner's predecessor at the Treasury, Henry Paulson, as he promotes his new book, Stress Test.
The two week book tour will begin in New York on May 14. Stress Test will be released by Crown Publishers, according to the Associated Press.
Geithner will be joined by Bernanke in Washington on May 22 and by Paulson in Chicago on May 28. Stops on Geithner’s book tour will include Philadelphia, Seattle, Miami, and San Francisco.
This is the first time that Geithner is scheduled to appear with Bernanke or Paulson since Geithner left the Treasury in 2013. After leaving his job, Geithner took a job at The Council at Foreign Relations, a nonpartisan think tank. Richard N. Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, called Geithner a "tireless, creative and responsible custodian of the public trust,” according to the LA Times. Geithner was a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in 2001.
