Four people were killed on Friday night after their car flipped into a creek in Astoria, Queens, while one person in the car managed to survive.

According to News 12 Long Island, police believe that the car hit a curb before rolling into the water.

The young driver, 20, was able to get out of the car while it was in the creek, but it took police divers to extricate the bodies of the remaining four occupants.

Three of the people pulled from the car were taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center to be pronounced, while the fourth passenger was taken to Mount Sinai, where he was pronounced dead.

The Associated Press reports that the two men and two women died in the car, which went off the road on a dead-end street.

The driver has been listed in stable condition following the accident.

No further details have been released on the crash yet, other than they were traveling in a 2009 Honda Accord and the crash occurred on 19th Avenue near 37th Street.
