The soundtrack to the widely popular animated feature Frozen has reached another sales milestone. The soundtrack has sold over 2 million copies. Frozen has now reached a 10th nonconsecutive week at No. 1.
Billboard reported that this past week the soundtrack sold 133,000 copies. This is a decrease from the soundtrack which during the following week sold over 149,000 copies.
With all of the current figures combined, Frozen has sold over 2.1 million copies since it was released.
With this 10th week at No. 1 the soundtrack also joins an exclusive club of albums that have spent 10 weeks in the No. 1 spot. Other albums to accomplish this include; The Lion King soundtrack, Titanic and Whitney Houston's "The Bodyguard. Additionally, Frozen now ties The Lion King for most weeks in the top spot for an animated feature film soundtrack.
USA Today reported that Pharrell's latest album, which features the hit single "Happy" came in second on the charts this week.
