The upcoming Goosebumps film will be staring Jack Black as author R.L. Stein, has gone into production. The film will also star up and coming actors such as Dylan Minnette, Amy Ryan, Odeya Rush, Ryan Lee, Jillian Bell and Ken Marino. Along with production getting underway on the film, a synopsis for the film has been announced to fans.

that the movie will tell the story of teenager Zach Cooper, who moves from a big city to a small town. The only positive note regarding his move is the beautiful girl next door, Hannah played by Odeya Rush.
Cooper soon discovers that Hannah's father is famous Goosebumps author R.L. Stein and that the monsters features in his books are real. Coopers learns that Stine protects his readers by keeping the monsters locked up in their books. Chaos is quick to ensue when the monsters are released from the novels, leaving it up to Cooper, Hannah and Stein to put the monsters back in the pages of the novels.
Rob Letterman is directing the film and is working off of a script by Darren Lemke and Mike White, which was inspired by the R.L. Stein novels, Den of Geek added.
"Goosebumps" will be released in the United States on March 23, 2016.
