Jack White is known for his musical experiments that result in musical harmony and chart topping hits but now the former White Stripes star is looking to set a new record. White will attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest-ever released album. This will attempted to be accomplished on April 19th.
The Hollywood Reporter added that White is not afraid to do new things when it comes to marketing, he once released an album by dropping it out of the sky from a plane.
This is how White plans to accomplish this impossible task. He will take the stage in Third Man's blue room in its Nashville studios and record direct-to-acetate his performance. This will be used for the LP Lazaretto. The masters will be taken over to United Record Pressing, which will be start pressing the records. The sleeves will be printed from photography that is taken during the show. When the record is done being produced, it will be taken back to the Third Man venue to sell for fans who have been waiting. United Record Pressing has said that as long as fans are waiting in line to buy the record they will continue to press and deliver them.
Tickets to this record breaking event will be hard to come by. Tickets will be limited and will be available through Third Man Records Vault to Platinum Members. Fans that get a ticket will be able to watch White record the new album.
The Guardian detailed that the album will be available for wide release in June.
