Jay-Z is coming out West. His music festival, Made in America will come to Los Angeles, Calif. later this year.
Jay-Z is expected to share the announcement with the Mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, on Wednesday at City Hall in downtown Los Angeles, reportedMTV News.
The event will take place on Labor Day weekend and feature a two-day concert while another music festival is held simultaneously in Philadelphia, reported the Associated Press.
Although the performers have not yet been announced, the Made in America music festival could possibly draw in as many as 50,000 people into downtown Los Angeles. The city’s Grand Park is expected to host the event to revive its tourism as a cultural destination, reported Variety.
Previously the event was help in Philadelphia and featured Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Skrillex, Rich Ross, Nine Inch Nails, and Passion Pit.
The Los Angles City Council has acknowledged their concern about the possible disruption the festival could bring to Los Angeles residents. Taking it one stop further, Los Angles City Councilman, Jose Huizar, asked the city to no give the permits until it was understood how the disruptions would be resolved.
