Vice President Joe Biden has returned to social media, using his Twitter account for the first time in over a year. The move comes as the Democrats will be getting in high gear for the 2014 Midterm Elections.
Dusting off the Twitter handle for a big midterm election year. Let's get to it, folks! –Joe

Monday morning, Biden tweeted, “Dusting off the Twitter handle for a big midterm election year. Let's get to it, folks!” It was signed “Joe,” which is a sign that the former Delaware Senator sent it himself.
It is the first time Biden has used @JoeBiden since January 2013, when he retweeted posts promoting a Google+ hangout about the Obama Administration’s plan to reduce gun violence.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the account will be run by the Democratic National Committee, so anything Biden tweets will likely get a second look before going live. They will try to make sure he doesn’t say anything silly or something he’ll regret.
The office of the Vice President has been tweeting @VP, so Biden hasn’t been completely away from Twitter for a year. That account often tweets about Biden’s activities and messages from the Administration.
