Filipino singer Arnel Pineda says he’s working on an album of his own songs.
"Even though I am still with (Journey) and we are touring, I am also working on my original materials and I am also recording them," said Pineda, according to the Associated Press.
Pineda took the position of lead singer position in the popular band, Journey, replacing Steve Perry. Journey is set to go on the road again in the United States and Canada. No word yet if fans will hear “Separate Ways” or Journey’s other hits next year when the band will tour South America. Fans are also guessing if Perry will tour again with Journey. There are no plans for Perry to replace Pineda on tour right now, and Pineda says, “As long as they need me I will be there.”
He spoke about his recent Charity song in an interview on Tuesday. Proceeds from the song will go to victims of Typhoon Haiyan, according to Campaign Asia. The song is featured in the children’s music video, “Cha-Ching” on the Cartoon Network.
