On late Friday afternoon it was made public that Mexican singer Juan Gabriel, was being released from a Las Vegas hospital after being admitted with pneumonia on Monday.
Billboard reported that Gabriel would soon be resuming his tour and plans to head back on the road starting May 1st.
A tour publicists for Gabriel released a statement explaining that the 64-year-old singer's health had started to increase and improve compared to the state he was in on Monday when he was admitted. The statement also detailed that Gabriel will be staying in Las Vegas and Los Angeles to rest until his tour starts up again.
On Monday Gabriel was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital following his three-hour performance on Sunday at the Mandalay Bay resort, which is part of his "Volver" tour. The singer had fluid in his lungs after the performance.
A representative for Gabriel explained that the singer had not been feeling well in the days leading up to the performance but he did not want to cancel his shows, Fox News reported.
To date, Gabriel is one of the top-selling Latin musicians and recording artists in the industry.
