The NAACP has decided to take away an award honor from Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling after spewing racist remarks.

ESPN reports how during an interview on Sunday, April 27 on Meet The Press, NAACP interim president Lorraine Miller told host David Gregory that Sterling will not receive his second lifetime achievement honor that the NAACP's Los Angeles chapter was scheduled to give him next month. Miller stated how, "If you're silent about this, then you are accepting this. And people have got to say that this is not good and do something about it." Sterling's lifetime achievement honor from the Los Angeles chapter of the NAACP would have been his second one in the last six years.

On Sunday, April 27, Deadspin released a second audio recording of Sterling having a conversation with his girlfriend V. Stiviano. However, Stiviano is being sued by Sterling's wife Rochelle H. Sterling. The Los Angeles Times reports how Sterling's wife of 50 years filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court last month and said that Stiviano is a "gold digger".
