The New York Police Department shot and killed an octogenarian man in Astoria, Queens on Saturday morning.
Called to a Queens apartment just before noon over a reported domestic dispute involving a firearm, an NYPD spokesman said the police found a man armed with a shotgun, reports The Wall Street Journal.
Also in the apartment was a woman who had clearly been shot. It isn't yet known if the elderly armed man did indeed shoot the woman.

The man was pronounced dead at the hospital, but the 65-year-old woman found injured in the apartment did make it to the hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
