Weekend two of the Coachella Music Festival in California seemed to be a much better response for OutKast fans and critics.
After their first performance last weekend at the festival, the highly anticipated reunion of the “Ms. Jackson” performers was shot low when fans highly critiqued it and claimed it wasn’t as exciting as it should have been.
However, at the second weekend of the concert series, the duo performed again and according to fans, it was much more successful.
The San Bernardino County Sun reports that the Friday performance of the Atlanta-based hip-hop duo had a better set than last week but still lagged a bit for their liking.
Guillaume Zucca, a France concert goer, told The Sun that he enjoyed when the group performed “all classics” including “So Fresh, So Clean” and “Ms. Jackson” but also said he felt that the middle was drawn out when Big Boi and Andre 3000 would try to talk to the audience.
Maybe the group will do even better next time with the 40-plus shows booked for Lollapalooza in Chicago and Governors Ball in New York later this summer.
