In an effort to bring their bromance to another level, Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen played The Newlywed Game to test their knowledge of each other.
The two sat down for BuzzFeed Brews to answer a series of questions, but their version of The Newlywed Game was the highlight. We learn that Stewart thinks that McKellen’s ‘spirit animal’ is a gazelle (McKellen put ‘gorilla,’ but at least they start with the same letter) and that McKellen thinks Stewart can’t live without French Fries. (Stewart really likes Yorkshire Pudding, though.)
The interview actually took place back in February, but is only now getting some attention. It has garnered over 400,000 views since it was posted.
McKellen and Stewart play enemies in the X-Men series, starring as Magneto and Professor Xavier, respectively. However, they are really good friends off the screen. McKellen actually officiated at Stewart’s wedding and they recently took over Late Night from Seth Meyers.
Stewart also chronicled a trip through New York City with McKellen on Twitter, resulting in amazing photos like the one below. You can see them getting really serious though in X-Men: Days of Future Past on May 23.
