Famed singer Paul Simon and his wife, Edie Brickell, have been arrested for disorderly conduct following an alleged domestic dispute.

According to NBC4, authorities told the station that the couple was arrested at their New Canaan, Connecticut home on Saturday shortly after 8:00 p.m.

The Daily Mail noted that investigating officers found probable cause to arrest the couple. They were both due back in Norwalk Superior Court Monday to be arraigned.

The 72-year-old musician started his career as one half of the folk duo Simon & Garfunkel with fellow singer Art Garfunkel.

The duo split in 1970 and Simon went on to have a successful solo career earning several Grammy Awards for hits such as Bridge Over Troubled Water and Still Crazy After All These Years.

Brickell, 48, is also a musician known for her work with the band New Bohemians.

The couple has been married for 22 years and have three children together. It is unclear what started the argument.
