It looks like third and final installment of The Hobbit trilogy is getting a new title. Director Peter Jackson announced on his Facebook page that the film that was titled There and Back Again will now be called The Battle of the Five Armies.
According to the LA Times, Jackson says the name change has to do with a conversation that happened after the premiere trip last year.
According to CBS, Jackson says, "Our journey to make The Hobbit Trilogy has been in some ways like Bilbo's own, with hidden paths revealing their secrets to us as we've gone along. There and Back Again felt like the right name for the second of a two film telling of the quest to reclaim Erebor."
Jackson isn’t completely throwing away the title, though. There and Back Again could wind up on a future box set for all three Hobbit movies. Jackson says that the new film will also have a longer version with new scenes.
Battle of the Five Armies will open in theaters in December.
