President Barack Obama may prohibit selfies from being taken after baseball player David Ortiz took a selfie with him as part of a publicity stunt for Samsung.
The Wrap reports how Dan Pfeiffer, President Obama's Senior Adviser stated during an interview with Face the Nation, that as a result of what Ortiz did all selfies might be finished. Pfeiffer says, "Maybe this will be the end of all selfies." Ortiz, who is a member of the the World Series champion Boston Red Sox, was at the White House with the rest of his teammates to be honored by President Obama. Ortiz, posted a selfie of himself and Obama and it later came out that Ortiz took the selfie with a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and that Samsung arranged for the selfie to be taken.

However, Ortiz told the The Boston Globe that the selfie with President Obama was not part of a publicity stunt for Samsung. Ortiz explains how, "I gave him the jersey, and the photographers were going to take their pictures and I thought, really at the last second, maybe I should snap a shot with my phone while I have the chance."
