Fans of McDonald’s will note the famous clown, Ronald McDonald, has gotten a make-over. On Wednesday, the famous clown debuted a new outfit on social media.

The new look for the popular character includes cargo pants, a vest, and a rugby shirt. "Reserved for special occasions, Ronald has a whimsical new red blazer with the Golden Arches on the front pocket and his well-recognized signature on the back, and a special bowtie to complete the look," the company said in a statement, according to The Huffington Post.

This year, McDonald’s has chosen to put Ronald McDonald at the forefront of their social media campaign. Previously, the character has supported Ronald McDonald House Charities. The mascot has been commenting on Twitter. Unlike other famous faces known to the fast food world, Ronald McDonald has had no Facebook account or other social media presence.

“Ronald’s new to social media so he’s just dipping in his toes right now, rather than jumping in with both big red shoes,” a spokeswoman told The Wall Street Journal.
