Russell Brand shifts gears to write a children't book.
The Associated Press reports that Brand will release children's book series entitled Russell Brand's Trickster Tales, a set of retold fairy tales.
The series, which will include 3 books, will release its first installment Nov. 11, entitled The Pied Piper of Hamelin. The next book will release in 2015, and the last in 2016.
The Guardian reports that Chris Riddell, an award-winning illustrator, will be responsible for the illustrations, and the series will be published by Canongate.
Brand confirmed the news in a YouTube video, showing some of the illustrations that will be used for the story.
"I know you've already heard of that, and you might think 'well, that ain't your story', but I've done a different version of it," Brand tells viewers.
Brand will join other celebrities that have written children's books, including Madonna, comedian David Walliams, Katie Price, and Geri Halliwell.
Brand has previously written two memoirs for Harper Collins; My Booky Wook: A Memoir of Sex, Drugs, and Stand-Up and Booky Wook 2: This Time It's Personal.
