Sam Rockwell and Allison Janney will reunite with the directors of last year's indie coming-of-age The Way, Way Back for a new film, titled The Heart, starring Kristen Wiig.
First time directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash enjoyed critical and commercial success with their dramedy last year, hence they're returning to helm another film, this time an action comedy.
According to Ain't It Cool News, The Heart follows a woman, Wiig, fallen on hard times who agrees to be a mule to pick up some much needed cash, smuggling black market organs, including the titular heart. Rockwell will play a stranger who accompanies her on the journey, and Janney will play Wiig's sex-starved boss.
Rockwell and Janney are both very talented comedic performers, as is, of course, Wiig, and it will be interesting to see how well Faxon and Rash do at the helm of a film that sounds a little more high-concept than their last effort.
The Wrap reports that production will begin in May in North Carolina. Kevin J. Walsh will produce with Indian Paintbrush's Steven Rales and Nora Skinner.
