Selena Gomez and Katy Perry now share the same manager.
Us Weekly exclusively reports that Gomez, 21, hired Perry's manager, Bradford Cobb, after firing her mother, Mandy Teefy, and step-father Brian Teefy. Gomez's mom and step-father served as her manager since she was a young star. Aside from Perry, Cobb also is the manager of singer Adam Lambert.
Last July, Billboard named Cobb one of their 40 under 40 executives. Cobb joined the Direct Management Group in June 1998 and helped to make Perry into a superstar. Cobb says, "I wanted an artist to become a superstar, and here we are in 2013 and I feel like Katy’s reached that level."
Aside from hiring Cobb to serve as her new manager, Gomez has also made headlines recently for unfollowing her famous celebrity friends on Instagram. TMZ reports how Gomez unfollowed Kendall and Kylie Jenner on Instagram and wants to focus more on her music. Gomez was recently spotted hanging out with the Jenner's and Justin Bieber at Coachella, but she is fed up with the partying scene and wants all her focus on her music career.
