Another film with American in the title is in the works, this time with Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg headlining the cast. The new film, titled American Ultra is an action comedy in the works from Lionsgate and will also star Sharon Stone.
The Oscar nominated actress’ casting was first reported by TheWrap, which noted that she is taking a role once linked to Uma Thurman. Project X’s Nima Nourizadeh is directing and Chronicle’s Max Landis wrote the script.
Eisenberg is playing Mike, a lazy stoner who lives in a small town with his girlfriend (Stewart). Mike has a dangerous past and was actually an agent for Victoria Lasseter (Stone). Suddenly, he has to fight to survive.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the supporting cast includes Tony Hale, Topher Grace, Bill Pullman and John Leguizamo.
Stone earned an Oscar nomination for Casino and was recently seen in Lovelace and Fading Gigolo.
