Legendary Italian actress Sophia Loren has been picked as the guest of honor for the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. In addition to appearing in a new film that will be screened during the festival, she will also be honored at a screening for one of her most famous films.

The festival organizers announced Tuesday that Loren will attend the screening of Edoardo Ponti’s new short film La voce humana, which her comeback in the industry. Then, she will be at the screening of Vittorio de Sica’s Marriage Italian Style (1964), which will be presented in a new 4K restoration.

Loren will also give a masterclass session, featuring a conversation with Salle Buñuel.

The festival announced the fill line-up of classic films that will be screening as part of the Cannes Classic sidebar at the festival. This will include a celebration of the 30th anniversary of Wim Wenders’ Paris, Texas (1984) and the new restoration of Sergio Leone’s A Fistfull of Dollars (1964).

The Criterion Collection will present Stuart Cooper’s Overlord (1975), while Pathe and Fondation Jérôme Seydoux are presenting Raymond Bernard’s French classic Wooden Crosses (1931). Nagisa Oshima’s Cruel Story of Youth (1960), Roberto Rossellini’s Angst (1954) and Francois Truffaut’s The Last Metro (1980) are among the other highlights.

Frank Capra’s Lost Horizon (1937), Alfred Hitchcock’s Jamaica Inn (1939) and Marcel Carne’s Le jour se leve will also be screened.

A new restoration of Federico Fellini’s 8 1/2 (1963) will also be shown. Considering this year’s poster features a scene from the film with Marcello Mastroianni, that seems only fair.
