Starz announced that the premium cable network has put in a straight-to-series order for two seasons of Blunt Talk, which will star Patrick Stewart.
The comedy series, which will be 10 episodes per season, will be executive produced by Seth MacFarlane and Jonathan Ames, who created Bored to Death, reports Deadline. Stewart will also serve as a producer.
Ames came up with the idea for Blunt Talk and will also executive produce alongside MacFarlane, in addition to being both a showrunner and writer on the series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedy will be character driven and follow Stewart's Walter Blunt. Blunt is from the UK and he is looking to try and rise to the top of American cable news, starting with a nightly interview show.
Blunt Talk will feature Blunt trying to navigate the news world with a dysfunctional staff, demanding bosses and also his many ex-wives and children. His only real support while living in America is an alcoholic manservant.
Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said in a statement, "In the character of Walter Blunt, Seth, Jonathan and Patrick have found the alchemy that makes a borderline alcoholic, mad-genius-Brit the man you want fighting in America's corner."
He added, "Seth and Jonathan have struck the right balance between biting wit and outright absurdity in building this world."
Blunt Talk, which had interest from several different networks, will aim for a 2015 premiere on Starz.
