SyFy has decided to put in an order for a third Sharknado movie, even though the second film doesn’t air until July. This will give B-movie studio Asylum extra time to work on another outrageous storyline about shark-carrying storms.

The network told AdWeek first that it plans on airing a third Sharknado in summer 2015. AdWeek reports that the first Sharknado, which became a social media sensation in summer 2013 even if it didn’t draw a lot of actual viewers, only cost $250,000 to make.

Sharknado 2, which has been appropriately titled The Second One, was originally set to air on Thursday, July 31. However, as Digital Spy notes, the movie was moved up a day and will air on Wednesday, July 30.

The Second One will again feature Tara Reid and Ian Ziering. Today Show hosts Al Roker and Matt Lauer revealed that they will have a cameo as themselves and will get to kill a shark on the Today set.

The rest of the cast includes Vivica A. Fox, Perez Hilton, Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick, Judd Hirsch and Judah Friedlander. Mark McGrath, who spoke with TheCelebrityCafe.com about getting cast in February, will also star in the film.

Now that a Sharknado will hit New York after visiting LA in the first film, the third film could always ravage Chicago. What city would you like to see attacked in Sharknado 3?
