A Mexican teen has been arrested for murdering her friend after the girl posted naked pictures online.

According to The Daily Mail, Erandy Elizabeth Gutierrez, 16, stabbed her former friend Anel Baez, also 16, 65 times after Baez posted pictures of them naked together on Facebook.

The two girls reportedly had a falling out after Baez, who referred to Gutierrez as a sister, posted the photos and Gutierrez responded with threatening messages on her now deleted Twitter account, at one point telling Baez she would be lucky to survive to the end of the year.

"It may seem that I am very calm, but in my head I have killed you at least three times," she wrote.

According to The New York Daily News, Baez called Gutierrez to her home on March 16 to rekindle their frigid friendship and while in the home, Gutierrez asked to use the bathroom.

Gutierrez then went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and then stabbed Baez 65 times in the neck before she left the scene of the crime.

Despite her earlier threats, Gutierrez attempted to cover her murderous tracks by grieving with friends over Baez’s death, but she was arrested at Baez’s funeral just a few days later.

Since the tragedy, the girls’ high school has hosted lectures in hopes of preventing similar crimes.

'In this community I want to tell you are not alone, we share your pain and anger and can add efforts to overcome the bitter moment,' said Juan Eulogio War Liera, who is holding therapy sessions.

Gutierrez will be charged as a minor under Mexico’s law. She may receive up to seven years in prison.
