Gillian Flynn’s Pulitzer winning thriller novel titled Gone Girl, has taken the world by storm. Are you ready for the David Fincher film adaptation?

Wait no longer, the first trailer is here and gives fans an inside look at the dark film with Rosamund Pike as Amy Dunne and Ben Affleck as Nick, Amy’s husband, according to Time.

The well-loved novel tells a tale of Amy’s disappearance on the day of her and her husbands fifth anniversary. The suspicion and spotlight slowly makes it way over to her husband Nick.

The song, She by Charles Aznavour and made famous by Elvis Costello in Notting Hill, is included in the trailer, reports USA Today. In order to fit the theme for Gone Girl, Richard Butler from Psychedelic Furs recorded a much creepier and eerier version of the song.

“I did not kill my wife,” Ben Affleck states as the trailer comes to an end. “I am not a murderer.”

Other actors included in the film are Neil Patrick Harris who plays and old flame of Amy’s and Tyler Perry as Affleck’s attorney.

The movie will premiere in theatres on October third.
