The three-day Boston Calling Music Festival will be taking place on September 5th through the 7th and the main headliners for the event have been announced. Taking the stage at the city's historic City Hall Plaza will include Lorde, Nas, The National, The Roots and Neutral Milk Hotel.
Billboard that the September lineup was co-curated by Aaron Dessner, who is a member of the Nationals The group headlined the inaugural event last year, which completely sold out.
Dessner released a statement regarding his involvement with the September lineup in which he expresses that this lineup is better than ever. "Collaborating on the programming of Boston Calling has been such a great experience for me and I feel we are getting better and better with each edition,” said Dessner.
Childish Gambino, Spoon, Girl Talk, The 1975, Volcano Choir, Twenty One Pilots, The War on Drugs and The Hold Steady are also set to take the stage during the three-day festival.
He continued to say that he appreciates this lineup because he is able to highlight major musicians along with indie acts that are starting up in the music industry. "This lineup is undoubtedly our most exciting one yet and I'm looking forward to returning with The National to play a full headline set with full production for our fans in Boston," Dessner explained.
