The Rolling Stones are continuing with their world tour after postponing tour dates due to the death of Mick Jagger’s girlfriend, L Wren Scott.

L Wren Scott, a fashion designer, was found dead in her apartment in New York on March 17. Investigators found Scott’s death to be a suicide. Scott, 49, has been Jagger’s companion since 2001.

According to The Independent, Jagger wrote on the Rolling Stones website, "I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. She had such great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me. I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her, Mick."

The band’s seven date tour of Australia and New Zealand was called off due to the tragedy. The band has announced shows beginning in Europe staring on May 26 in Oslo, Norway, according to the Associated Press.Their On Fire tour is also scheduled for Portugal, Switzerland, Israel, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Sweden and Denmark.
