The two titans of comedy will be joining forces again in Universal's comedy The Nest.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Poehler is in final negotiations to join the movie as Fey's sister as they return to their hometown and find their parents' house up for sale, prompting them to throw one last party. Fey will also produce as part of her Little Stranger Inc. and Poehler will be an executive producer. The film is directed by Pitch Perfect's Jason Moore. The screenplay is written by Paula Pell who has been writing for Saturday Night Live since 1995, at least three years before either Fey or Poehler arrived and took their places behind the Weekend Update desk. Variety notes that this is Pell's first feature-length screenplay.
The duo's last starring roles together were 2008's Baby Mama which featured Poehler as a surrogate mother hired by Fey. Since then they have hosted the Golden Globes twice and are set to do it again in 2015.
