A trailer has appeared on the web for Clint Eastwood’s film, Jersey Boys, the movie about lead singer Frankie Valli. John Lloyd Young, who has already won a Tony Award for the role, plays the singer.

Broadway audiences have loved the story of trials and tribulations of the 1960s group. It’s a sometimes a seedy world of debts and difficult relationships that threaten to break the band, The Four Seasons, according to AFP Relax.

The trailer says that “It began with a sound that became a sensation.” Vincent Piazza plays Tommy DeVito, a member of Valli’s group. Erich Bergen and Michael Lomenda play the other members of the band. Christopher Walken plays crime boss, Angelo DeCarlo.

The film is directed by Clint Eastwood, according to Deadline. Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice wrote the screenplay.

Jersey Boys is set for a June 20 release in the United States. Jersey Boys will also be released abroad. The film will be distributed in Europe on June 18 and June 19. The South American distribution will take place after June 26.
