The new Broadway musical focused on Tupac’s lyrics, Holler If Ya Hear Me, will star Saul Williams.

The musical will start preview performances on May 29th and will officially open at the Palace Theatre on June 19th.

Holler If Ya Hear Me, highlights music by the deceased rapper and uses his words and creativity to tell a tale of two friends who live in a low income neighborhood in the Midwest, attempting to find and obtain their hopes and dreams. A special focus will be on "friendship, family, revenge, change, and hope,” according to Spin

Tupac fans can look forward to hearing “California Love,” “Keep Ya Head Up,” and “Me Against the World,” in the musical—just a few of Tupac’s hits.

The character of John will be played by Williams, while Christopher Jackson will play Vertus. Tonya Perkins will be seen as Mrs. Weston, Saycon Sengbloh as Corinne, Ben Thompson as Griffy and John Earl Jelk as the Street Preacher, reports Rolling Stone

Todd Kreidler wrote the musical and it will be directed by Kenny Leon—the brains behind the Broadway rendition of A Raisin in the Sun featuring Denzel Washington.

Tickets for the show can be purchased through the Palace Theatre box office or Ticketmaster—there are a low number of $35 student tickets for sale.

Aside from the musical, a Tupac Biopic is also in the works and will move along with production this upcoming summer, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker, John Singleton.
